You are invited to join your fellow volunteers / creators / newbies for The Participation POTLUCK Picnic in Golden Gate Park! (event formerly known as Bar-B-Que-a-Noobie.) This year we are inviting Burning Man staff and VC's, Artists, theme camps and Newbies. You are the people that make Burning Man happen and the Volunteer Resource Team wants to thank and support you!
We are getting started bright and early at 11 am on June 21st – yep, that's the Summer Solstice!
Please bring your favorite food / treats to the POTLUCK to enjoy food, drinks and games in the sunshine as your gift to your fellow Burners.
Theme Camp Miso Horny invites you to bring your old burner clothing for a Burner Clothing SWAP!!! Imagine: a free farmer's market of fabulous playa clothes! Bring your used gear and clothing, along with a blanket or bed sheet, and lay it out as if it's a farmer's market stall. Then, peruse up and down the aisles to find something fresh and funky for your new wardrobe this year. Come to gift, come to trade, or come to pick up some clothes off our hands! It's all free and it will help keep clothes out of the landfill.
Come share what you are excited about for this years Burn and connect with VRT to figure out ways we can support you during crunch time and on Playa.

Admission is FREE, but we hope you’ll support us with a donation so we can maintain our tradition of feeding the Burning masses for the 14th straight year! In addition to our signature ‘cakes, we've also cooked up some sweet raffle prizes you’ll be tripping over your apron strings to get to. And don’t forget to don your chef-wear, as we’ll be handing out sticky hi-fives for those in their finest kitchen couture. Just remember – when soft rock is heard, pancakes are served!

Have you ever dreamed of walking into Center Camp Café - the undeniable caffeinated entertainment hub of Black Rock City- point at a cool piece of décor and proudly brag to your friends “See that cool thing over there?! Yea, I MADE that sh*t!”?
Now is your chance! Over the next two parties we will be working on décor items such as emblem design and execution, hanging swags and drapes –no sewing just tons of zip ties, and YES, the rumors are true, there will be stenciling!!!! Still want to sew? We’re making MOOP bags, too!!
For the veteran burner itching to get some pre-playa dust on your hands, and for you newbies excited to get involved and get informed, this is the place! All skill levels are welcome.
PLUS - we're excited to offer samples of Center Camp Cafe just-roasted coffee... we have TWO organic/fair-trade varieties to taste-test starting at 3pm. Come get your java-fix and tell us what you think of them!
